Because some of us actually care that the job is done right.
It drives me nuts doing something that I know is wrong. I recently wired what I was told is a spec house in an exclusive country club. We were given a ridiculously low budget that meant volume knobs and all zones doing the same source. TV and speaker placements were pretty much determined by the architect. After multiple attempts to explain why it was wrong, we did it. Literally as I was packing my wire in the van after we finished, I found out the house is actually going to be the home of the club's owner for a couple years until he builds what he really wants.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the living room is going to have two 55" TVs in armoirs. One will sit on each side of the fireplace.
