I'm installing a very basic system with a Samsung Smart TV, Onkyo receiver, Verizon cablebox and Blu-Ray disc player. Rather than using the customers outdated Harmony remote I thought I'd try to use the Samsung Smart Touch remote that came with the TV - especially since it works best with many of the TVs features.

I'm having a little trouble getting the power to turn the Onkyo receiver on so I'm assuming I need to get the discrete command for this. Does anyone have any experience programming codes into these Samsung Smart Touch remotes or learning buttons on them? Thanks in advance.

I could have said that in fifteen paragraphs. And he's right. I don't even know the product and I know he's right.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Trust him on this part.
