I saw this while looking at ggarza270's links: [Link: techtoolsupply.com]

Nofaya NF-388. It's the cheapest distance tester I've seen that also has all the basic functions, I may have to pick one of these up. $77 on aliexpress.com with free shipping, I'm definitely going to give this a try. I've been wanting distance measurement for a while. The only thing I would add is the ability to check for POTS, 10/100/1000 ethernet, and PoE.

I work for a school district and we have the need for a good tone and probe tool and I found this one today and it looks like it could help out a lot! Tone and probe is #1 on the list of needs, but having remotes and cable testing ability is awesome. As you said, having the ability to check speed and PoE would be nice as well, but I guess you can't have everything.

Did you actually purchase this? If so, what do you think? We're poor so cost is a huge factor. I would love to have one of the $600 units, but we can't afford those.
