Sorry, just one more example. Tivo default signal output is 720. Even if you set so that it only outputs 1080, the boot sequence is 720. My tv does not support 720 so al I get is a rolling screen, can't read any messages. I had to set my avr output for 1080 only as well as the roku, bluray, etc.

So, do know all your equipment specs? Are you able to determine what in the chain is causing the issue? Do you know how to remedy?

More food for thought.

Hope it helps.

Get 1x2 HDMI splitter.
Use one HDMI port for DAC to output R/L.
Use 2nd HDMI port for your HD Fury.

Have nothing against reading manuals, or using Google. I looked for the answer on Google for about 2 hours and could not find it. Call me crazy, but I thought asking a professional would be a good way of getting a correct, reliable answer.

HD Fury has the manuals in the download section of the product page. The product is very reliable.

I don't have the manual nor could I find it on line.

Maybe if you Google "Roku manual" you would find it?

I know that's difficult, but damn.....

Please quote the section of the manual that is unclear to you.

I was being a smartass, but it's too bad that you did not respond, someone else did. Maybe we could have moved forward.

Did you ever find the manual online? I googled "hd fury manual download" and discovered that you have not read the signature on the bottom of all of my posts. The google response has manuals for the HD Fury 3, 4, 2, and III, in that order, after my search. edit: You say you're asking questions, and I agree with you.  But you don't seem to be reading all that we respond with.  For instance, look at my signature now.  It directly addresses the issue of model number.

Now that I think about it for a second, I see I don't remember why you're using the HD Fury or why you're concerned about its audio ouputs. Roku sites found by googling "roku 3 audio output" describe how to get analog audio out of the roku; folks here have described how to suck the digital audio out of the HDMI signal.

As for the post saying you can get analog OR optical from the Fury's output jack, that pretty much says it. You can have analog audio. OR you can have digital audio. You cannot have both. That would be AND.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
