Wouldn't you know it? HDMI problems on a friday!

Sony BDPS5200 > Binary B6-HD3 > Yamaha RXA1030 > Celerity 40' > Sony VPL-HW55ES = No picture or sound

I get video from the Control4 HC250. But nothing from BDP. If I unplug the Celerity from the AVR, I get sound. Firmwares are up to date, and I tried Celerity direct to BDP. Still no video.

Solution? Binary B6-HD10.

I am just going to send the Celerity back. I do not have the time to sit around trying to make it work or even trying to find out why it does not work. They can deal with it. I even brought a second set of Tx and Rx Celerity "dongles" and those exhibited the same behavior. I tried alternative USB power supplies at the Rx side and Tx side. The only thing I did not try was lowering the resolution on the BDP....kind of hard to do without a UI to look at. The odd thing is when you power on the BDP, you get the splash screen. But as soon as it tries to display the HOME menu, all is lost.

We have another job with a Sony VPL-HW30ES and a 40' Celerity and it has had to be power cycled 2 or 3 times because of "no video". We have used probably 5 or 6 that we have not had any callbacks on (crosses fingers). I will have to go back and see how many of those are connected to Sony projectors.

Anyone else with mixed results with these cables? I am going to recommend that we do not use them anymore. It will either be an HDMI cable or HDBaseT. Period.

We have a couple of the 80' cables working flawlessly but they are connected to tv's not a projector.

Stock some long active sync by KeyDigital. Not a real fan of this product, but saved my days.

I read your topic as "Celebrity experiences" and was going to feel left out as there are none in my state.

Thanks Dave; now I don't feel so left out. :-)
I wonder if any of the celebs have been in NM anytime in last 18 months.
BTW, I don't count crooked Bill Richardson a celebrity.
