cisco chs 335hdc verizon fios

snap av HDbaseT 330ft version. sharp Aquos 80"

We can pass everything BUT THE CABLE BOX! apple TV PC everything else is fine.

On the cable box it is flashing a bluish white screen whenever we change the channel. there is no format button on the box or remote.

Any Ideas...Very Frustrating, I knew better then to go with this HDbaseT kit, Tested over and over again at my house with no issues..

Clocking issue?

Can you not get to the setting menu on that box in another room? I haven't seen that issue in a long time.

3PedalMINI,
This is most likely a clock stretching issue. You will need a 1X2 splitter to correct this issue. Please Call me at 704-909-5836 or email me your best contact number.

Thanks

First order of business, breathe and relax. Remember, 99% of issues are created by cable boxes, not binary HDBaseT. I'm positive it's either a clocking issue (I know you don't have the 1x2 splitter with you) or the box is set to 480 which is not supported. We have to get you into that menu and see what the cable box is set to.

I've seen this many times with Cisco/scientific Atlanta cable boxes. Can you swap a cable box a Motorola cable box from a different room since you don't have a splitter with you?

The Cisco boxes absolutely need a clock stretching 1x2 splitter. Once in place it will work perfectly.

It is exactly this.

Just dealt with same box with same issue last week.

Splitter cured it.

Why doesn't everyone already have 1x2 splitters on the truck for this EXACT issue?

Maybe cuz they don't make a Systainer for it? :P

Splitter to the rescue! I've had the same issue and SnapAV suggested the same and from now on I keep several in stock. Just wish they would lower the price a bit or build that functionality into the extenders...

I had the same issue with a Scientific Atlanta cable box in a Crestron system. I just bought there extender and it wouldn't work. Had to put another piece in front of it in order for the extender to work. It's the cable boxes not your other equiment.

That's because the term "Luck" is written into the HDMI charter
