As it should be. Most studios already record in high res. formats anyway. The problem is not necessarily that the format exists and is made available to the consumer. That in itself will not produce great sound. One of the artists Neil interviewed said, although half jokingly, I bet he is spot on, something to the effect that now they can actually try to make it sound good in the studio. Currently, a lot of producers settle for lesser sound quality, less dynamic range, because "the kids are just going to throw it on an ipod or phone and listen to it on their ear buds or beats....it does not matter". Those masters are not going to sound much better than what they already release. Luckily there are producers and artists who actually care about how their art sounds. Hopefully this movement will shake some sense into the rest of them.
