I'm pretty sure the kickstarter launched yesterday, so it's not out yet. October 2014 sometime, if all goes well. Kickstarted productions like this often end up delayed a bit though. I'm tempted for $300 though...

OH, O.K. somewhere online it said yesterday or today. Looks like it could be an interesting addition to my system.

I think I will get one. I have been keeping an eye since it was announced. I like the initiative and it looks like there is enough support to get it rolling. But then again so did SACD. :) I hope it lives up to the claims.

How much source material, that is, ponography, is available? Is this product versatile, or is it a one-trick pono? I assume it's got a video output -- is it only HDMI, meaning component is a pononono?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ernie, meet Neil Young; an old cranky musician. You two should be on the same page. It's an "iPod"-esque device. Video and hdmi? No. It's a portable music player.

This looks great for people who appreciate really good sound but I think they'll soon realize that most people are not going to care unless they can provide a library as large as iTunes for the same price. It's going to be like the time I bought a DVD Audio player and only purchased a couple of discs. One of them happened to be a Neil Young album.

Go check out the kickstarter for more info. Music only, one headphone out and one line out. Looks like a sweet piece of gear, I'd be kicking-in in a heartbeat if I was still doing much live sound engineering. As it is I'll probably wait until I can find out more details about playing my existing library, as digital music is no longer a writeoff. =D

He's cranky, but not too cranky. He saved Lionel trains from closing.

Looks like they're off to a good start:

There's a link to a video in there as well with a lot of testimonials from fellow musicians.

He bought Lionel and set up a humongous train set at his house for his two boys who BOTH have cerebral palsey!

Hmmmm I think this will apeal to the more hard core audiophile crowd...?

Will be interesting to hear the reviews, and congrats to Neil and crew for the quick kickstart!

I hope it's a success.
