Is the power cold in wall rated?

Nope.

This is one of the reasons I like HEOS- it uses a brick power supply, so the old speaker wires can be used for power.

It says it meets NEC 400.7(A)(11) which I believe allows flexible power cords in walls in some situations.

Wait! You mean I bought all these wireless speakers and they still plug-in? Bad!

Wow! Tom predicts and gives us a sample of a Trump Tweet, and does it way back in 2013!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

It happened again this week. It was like déjà vu all over again. I had just finished off a new TV in the family room for a client, and his Comcast box is in the closet 20 feet away. He told me that he had ordered a set of Sennheiser wireless headphones, and wondered if there was anything unusual about hooking them up. He asked if they just got Wi-Fi from Comcast. No, I said, connect the red and white plugs to the back of your Comcast box and you can hear TV. He emailed me back, "But these are wireless headphones." Yeah, whatever channel you're watching just happens to be floating around in the ether, and those headphones will just snag it.

Fast forward a few days, and he texted me a picture of the left and right connections made properly, still no sound. I went out to the house yesterday, and his wife mentioned that even though he maintained that he had done it right, she discovered one of the rechargeable batteries was put in backwards in the earpiece. Then I found that he had never taken the wall wart out of the box that feeds power to the base/transmitter.

Well, they are wireless headphones, after all.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Flexibility has nothing to do with it. How flexible is Romex? It has to do with preventing fire and smoke (in plenum).

Re-read that section of the code- it specifically mentions using extension cords in-wall being a code violation and the first sentence concerns an inlet and an outlet, like the LeGrande kit (named in the comments) or Midlite, which all use Romex. They meet code because the power cord to the inlet can be unplugged in the event that a problem arises in the Romex, its outlet or in the TV. The cable and kit must be listed.

After re-reading, the flexible cable is between the inlet and the outlet. I've installed a similar kit and the in-wall portion has solid copper conductors as you mentioned. But the point still stands: the kit meets the NEC.

So Midlite doesn't seem to actually have this part available yet (C7HS-B) unless someone else has been able to find it...
