New to Ubiquiti, trying out airCam with airVision software and I get the "The site's security certificate is not trusted!" message. Is there a fix for this? I have tried Firefox, Chrome and IE, all with the same results. Running Windows 7. Thanks for your help.

I had something like that happen today. Was making changes to my Ubiquiti AP and when I logged in, it gave me the same type of message. No worries that I can think of. I think that it's just the operating system giving feedback, but others will chime in.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

Is this the web interface for an owned hardware device? The self-signed certificates for those are notoriously troublesome when held up to a browser's level of scrutiny. You can actually go and buy a proper certificate for it, or just ignore the problem like everyone else does! There are browser settings where this check can be disabled for specific trusted devices (I have to do that for any local device that enforces a secure connection).

You will see that for every UBNT device interface if i'm not mistaken. Its not a problem, I bet Ubiquiti just hasn't payed off microsoft yet to have a trusted certificate.

I have never done one where that doesn't pop up. Ignore it every time because you do indeed trust it. No need not to.

i've had this happen when the modem, router and/or access point time hasn't matched the time set in the device connecting to it. but it would usually happen when trying to connect to certain websites, like Facebook or Youtube.

This happens more often then WE see (normal end users experience this a lot when using garbage equipment). If the device's times are mismatched, it thinks that there is a problem, and goes ballistic with the messages on sites that have any decent security system. The measure is in place for a good reason, but 9.99/10 times, there is no issue.
