I was looking at the Kevo (Kwikset) lock. Anybody tried this? Are there any other options besides the Kevo?
Any commercial locks that can do this type of thing?
Basically, I'm looking for a lock that can be locked & unlocked by a smartphone... The application would be for my front door at my house. I currently use RTI (with a XP-6), so my installer would have to set the programming up...
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks...

Kevo is bluetooth. Kwikset and Yale both make locks that can be controlled via Z-wave and that would probably best the best option if you want to use your XP6.
You'd need the RTI app on your phone, a RS-232 to Z-wave translator (Leviton VRC0P1) and then a programmer than can write a driver to communicate with the lock over Z-wave secure protocol.
There are systems from Building 36 and 2Gig that allow for that kind of home automation too with those same locks, but they are not going to be integrated into your RTI system.

What method are most of you guys using? Something tied into a RTI /security system? Or something more standalone like the Kevo? Has anyone tried the Kevo? It's brand new still, so probably not a lot of exposure just yet..
