Does anyone make a small Bluray that could be stuck onto the back of 40" - 46" TV?

Would probably need to be a slot load to be easy to use.

I saw Samsung has a small unit, but it's a drawer so don't know if it would work vertically.  I don't think Samsung has discrete power on their BDP either...

Panasonic DMP-BBT01, maybe?

Looks like Samsung has a compact BDP.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I like the looks of the Panasonic.  Was worried the touch remote might be BT, but the manual shows an IR receiver so should work with control system.

I think Chief's video conference mount looks like an easy way to attach it to the bottom of the TV.

The TV will be corner mounted in a home gym so this should work well.  Sources will just be the BDP and DirecTV and I can stick the DirecTV receiver right on the back.

Cheers,
Paul

I don't recommend that samsung model.  unlike other samsung bluray/dvd players, it does not turn on with a play command.  the only way to turn it on and off is to use the power toggle.

I posted about it here:

There a workaround for the power command using a simple macro. But I agree, that this shouldn't be necessary. Discrete is the best way to go.

not in my experience with this model.

all other samsung players i have installed can use the play command for power on, and for Power off:

Play
delay 5 second
Power

but this model does not turn on with a Play command. (Unless they updated the software in it to turn on with a play command since i posted the original warning)

edit:  i see where the confusion came from with my last post.  I typed "power command" when i meant to type "play command"   I edited it.

Yes, the play command does turn the unit on.

To turn off you need the following macro:

Play
delay
Play
delay
power command

That didn't work for me on that model. I will try it again when I see another one.
