I need to install a 5.1 system for a client's new living room, he wants it to be clean and all in-wall.
I don't come from an audio background & I am new to CI so I always have trouble with speaker selection and quality of brands.
Basically the room is 20' x 20' with the viewing listening area is 12' x 20' with a 65' TV mounted on the narrow wall.
The setup that I came up with was the following...
(LCR) Sunfire CRW3 x 3 (REAR) Niles DS7FX x 2 Ceiling in walls (SUB) Sunfire HRSIW8
Any recommendations are appreciated, thanks

Speakers are just one peace of the puzzle. What are you driving them with, sources, placement, acoustical treatments, what is in the room......etc. But to be blunt it doesn't matter where your seating is, acoustically your room will suck.

It may suck, it may not- that depends on the speaker's dispersion and SPL. Low SPL isn't a problem because most of the energy will have dissipated by the time the sound reaches the far boundaries. I wouldn't be too happy with the 20' x 20' dimensions, though.

I understand that the room is not ideal. It has tile floors and not acoustically treated.
This is not meant to be a Theatre room. He is tearing the ceiling down so we can install new potlights so he would like to have a simple system installed to compliment the TV (65" 2K x 4K)
Sources would be PVR, Bluray & Apple TV. All equipment at rack headend
No AVR is chosen yet.
I was just looking for a speakers that would look and sound quality.
Thanks for you time

Paradigm speakers matched up with an Anthem receiver. The Anthem will help compensate for the room deficiencies better than most other receivers.

I would use the same brand throughout the speakers, sub not as important. Klipsch or Triad.

What kind of budget? How much is in it for speakers?
One thing I would do is be sure the L/C/R/Surr speakers are at least the same brand and voice matched. Without that, you can get the surrounds sounding wildly different that the front.

Nothing wrong with the Sunfire, I would use their surrounds as well to match, the sub isn't going to be fantastic in that room, but no sub will, I'd consider using a second.
Give them some decent power and mr. Customer should be happy.

Use KEF CI160QS or CI200QS. The UniQ woofer/tweeter array is such the acoustic wavefront time-aligned between the woofer and the tweeter so the reflective surfaces will still bounce everything around at least you start with a coherent wave to begin with as opposed to other speakers where the woofer and tweeter are two different radiating drivers. Otherwise Klipsch in-walls where you can control the dispersion.
