So we are deploying a system where the AV3 processor reboots itself every hour. Full reboot which in out case includes the lighting system reboots. Of course this is driving the clients mad.

Has anyone seen anything like this. We have DM involved which May or may not have any impact. We are noticing the system adds IPIDs that we didn't add because we have them setup to be powered over POE.

Using the AV3 to power any cresnet devices? If so try disconnecting cresnet see if it happens again.

Adding...

The 57 to 60 second thing makes me think its something else. My advice was based on a 2 Series Crestron processor being taxed by having too many Cresnet devices wired to it. It would reboot but the time between reboots wasn't consistent.

There's a firmware release from 10/31 that addresses HW Watchdog Timeout errors. This error typically causes a reboot. Make sure you're up to date.

I'll also add that you should carefully read the release notes for this firmware.

I had the exact same problem. Spent a Sunday on site reverting to previous versions of my programs as I thought it was related to changes that I had made on the Friday, and received an email that night saying that the processor rebooted. Went in the next day with a new processor and loaded the old programming into the new processor, and as of today I haven't heard about any processor reboots.

I contacted tech support on the Tuesday and the first thing they did was look at the error log for the HW Watchdog timeout error. They then informed me about the firmware update and showed me how to perform this using the FTP.

Ensure that you are updating the firmware using the FTP, if you have never updated this way before check out Crestron answer ID 5356

Also be sure you download the firmware that was released THIS week, as it corrects an issue with MTX3s
