I dont find the URC remotes to be cheap feeling. You may just be saying CHEAP as in it cost them nothing to build. My guess is none of their remotes cost over $50 or anywhere close to that to make. Granted, they cant sell based on cost of building alone, but cost in developing, marketing, supporting, etc. Typical. But you know this.

I had one manufacture once explain that they have to sell products for double what the manufacturing cost is so they can stay in business. However, they were trying to defend the fact that they were selling a part made by another manufacturer for double the price of MSRP. I offered to sell them that same part for my cost from one of the major distributors so they could sell it for less.
