Will any of those guys on any of those reality TV Gold shows ever strike it rich? Man the trials and tribulations they go through!

I thought this was a tough business...

Reminds me of a successful friend of mine that briefly swayed from the bar biz to the restaurant biz.

After a year he said the only way to end up with $100,000 in that biz was to start out with $200,000!!

Gold rush in the beginning wasn't staged, and then it became wildly popular and they had to make a reality show out of it. This season on now is very annoying, I loved gold rush but so far this season it is pretty painful to watch. It has become such a cash cow for discovery it has become just to commercialized and the entire cast have become celebrities.

Bamazon on history was great, I've never felt it was staged and never have managed to read anything that confirms/denies it. I hope they bring back a second season, but since it was popular too who knows what the next season will do.

Jungle gold is just plain annoying and is just is obvious that it is staged.

Speaking of reality shows, does anyone watch "pitch" on AMC? I just watched it for the first time last night and was pretty good!

The jungle gold guys are desk jockeys that are WAY out of their element.

They should write a book on how to lose other peoples money!

I run into the gold rush guys from time to time in Sandy.
Good people.

They actually made a living this last season.

I wish them the best.

Staged or not,I can appreciate the hard work and watch all of the shows!

Agree.

I'm just thinking it would be great to see some of these guys hit the mother-lode!

Would like to see a happy ending for most of these guys.

I gotta say that show "Tickle" is so stupid and bad, it hurts!
