I need to get to a display on the lanai from the rack in the utility room and it's gonna take a 45' extension. I've only found 30' extensions when looking online.

Has anyone ever coupled them together? Will the sensor work over that much cable? Have you seen longer extensions?

I looked for wireless Kinect sensors but came up empty-handed. Do they exist?

The customer added the Kinect at the last minute and I'm in a serious time crunch now.

TIA

Yeah search more. :)

Sewell is who we get ours from. They are 16' and you can do up to 4 of them reliably. That is what they say anyway. We have used them and had great results. Not ideal, as I do not believe they are CL rated, and you will have some connections in the attic or crawlspace. Your only other option is a $350+ USB 2.0 over CAT5e extender. And that will only work until they upgrade to Xbox One....I hear it uses USB 3.0. Yikes!

Let me save you a lot of time and headaches. Just because the usb powered extenders say that they work with Kinect, don't count on it. The only proven option that I can get to work everytime is the gefen usb extender.
Gefen USB 2.0

This is a pricey little guy but allows the kinect to work everytime. I have one in the field with 75ft of cat5 in between.

If the sensor cable is not long enough for your conditions, you can use a Microsoft licensed extension cable.
