Hello -
I have a URC MX-5000. I have started to notice that the programmed hard buttons on the remote have become unreliable and at times unresponsive. At times I have to wiggle a button around to get it to respond. I have confirmed that the soft codes work fine by creating a page and then dropping the codes of interest onto the page.
I have spoken with URC tech support and they are telling me that a) they have never heard of this situation before and b) replace the remote.
Has anyone come across this situation?

have not run into this on the 5000's, but I havent done that many 5000's realy....
Happens on 900's and 980's quite a bit. Buttons get wore out after a few years of abuse.
how old is the 5000?

Pull it apart and clean the back of the buttons with denatured alcohol and do the same for the circuit board.

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder." |
