Client has a Surface Pro tablet and we're trying to help him figure out how he can use it to do a presentation from it while holding it in his hands and doing markups in real time.

We have a 65" Samsung (which may or may not have an "app" that would work but I'd be scared to death to try it anyway), and a Pioneer AVR. We were going to do an HDMI cable from a laptop to the front of the AVR.

Any suggestions? This is a first time I've even seen a Surface in person.

If the pro has an intel chip, it is likely to have WiDi. If so, give him a net gear push to TV.
I love supporting product that supports me!

That looks interesting. Thanks for the tip. I found some info that running Windows 8.1 on the tablet will work for this, but I think it's still a Preview release.

What programming do you plan to use? If Media Player, the receiver, laptop and TV are all DLNA-enabled. That means you don't need cables.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

I haven't had any experience with the surface pro tablet, but my understanding is that it runs a full version of windows. If this is the case, buy AirParrot ($10 AirPlay software that works with windows) and an appleTV

It's a wealth management company, so I'm assuming it'll be a mix of PDFs, presentations (powerpoint or other), web pages, etc.

I have my surface pro at home setup like that and it doesn't show the whole desktop, only the top left section. I've tried different resolutions and the underscan feature in airparrot but I couldn't get the whole desktop on there.
