Have a client that has a B&O Beogram 300 turntable. Cable out is a 5 din midi cable. Looking for pinout diagram so I can have cable built to hook to current system. B&O will no give out that info to me because I am not one of their dealers. Can anyone help here.

You have a DIGITAL multi-meter, right? I capitalized Digital because an analog meter will probably kill the cartridge because it uses too much current for continuity testing. Remove the cartridge and measure from each pin to each terminal in the DIN plug It's not MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), MIDI just uses a similar plug.

Looking at the 5 pins, try (+) on the outer pins and the associated (-) on the pin next to the outer ones. Otherwise, remove the bottom of the turntable and look at the wiring connections- red and white are positive.

I found this by googling "Bang & Olafson DIN pinout"-

Ikatu might know. They've done a lot of integration development around B&O integration.

looking at the pins from the outside of the plug

the audio out from the plug is on pins 3 and 5.
pin 2 is the earth (common)
pin 3 is left signal and pin 5 is right signal

You should be able to buy a 5 pin din socket to 2 x phono plugs quite easily.

B&O are a law unto themselves so highfigh is on the right track

JohnMT is correct with the info but having done many of these cables you have to earth the 5pin metal case across to pin 2 or you will get a buzz
