I've used the Adtec YUV2QAM extensively in head-end build-outs. It's a broadcast grade encoder and supports many more features that the Zeevee and Contemporary Research encoders do not.


Any idea on the cost of the Adtec and the Contemporary Research options?
I'm looking for HD-SDI or HDMI input.

Did some research because I am doing something similar. A friend recommended this aSDI over fiber kit to me a while back and it worked great for my setup.

Been using it for PTZ control over the RS-485 channel, no complaints.
I picked up one of these for the RS-485 wiring on the Phoenix connector side:
