Does USB 3.0 have the same length limitations as USB 2.0? For going 25-30 feet, hopefully they come out with an extension cable.

They've been out for at least 1.5yrs.

Here's a selection... They're not that hard to find.

Yeah, the USB 3.0 extenders work but the Kinect has a non standard connector (and a different one from the prior Kinect)

I just unboxed one of these.
I must say its certainly a nicer machine then the PS4.
The build quality is really nice for a gaming console! Well worth the 100 dollar asking price over the PS4.

I hooked everything up and said; "Xbox on" and it fired right up!
Setup was painless and quick! It definitely put the PlayStations network to shame!

I hooked one up but didn't get to try it. Started a huge download and had to leave before it was finished.

Anyone found the remote codes for this box yet? Apparently MSFT said they will post them on release day, but haven't found anything so far...

As far as the "paranoia" regarding the camera, I figure the first day I just need to play nude... Anyone who happens to be watching will then gouge their eyes out, and I never need to worry again!

Can you just ping me when, please.

Saw that Harmony supports the IR code message set already. I'm sure it won't be long for RTI/URC to pick them up.

got mine friday. very cool. games look insane. kinect works three times better than previous model. voice is VERY accurate. already setup directv dvr using hdmi through, works well so far. kinect is going to be a bitch on this one. proprietary connector doesnt look promising.

How does it get the IR codes for any external devices, does it go online to get them (or are they hard coded in an app on the XBone)? Is there a list of supported devices you pick from thru an app? (I have yet to find a list of supported devices anywhere.)

it probably goes online. you cant really tell. it lets you set up tv, sat/cable box, and audio. it spins a little "im thinking" circle which would lead me to believe it goes online to find. it found my unxfxxxx tv, directv hr24-500, and yamaha rx-a830 (as an 820). i want to know how they plan on connecting all devices to xbox. they must either plan on a connecting block style device or a three headed ir emitter. i have all this crap layed out on pice of furniture under tv and used a dual emitter for just the tv and DTV box

And the cable is about as pliable as a power cord on a Rotel amp! I had to fish one through a wall yesterday. It's nice and square with sharp edges and a choke on the end. :(

I saw that on avsforum, the guys there are already cutting them apart and trying to extend them. There's like 14 wires in there (or something like that).

Anyone know the exact dimensions to order a middle Atlantic custom shelf? I contacted MA and they said they won't have measurements until a customer sends a unit in for measurement.
