We use the Lv1 and LV2 also. But they still have a small gap, not terrible , but still not flush.

OnQ green AC1010-01, 02, and 03. by far the best cut in open back box. The opening is bigger, the template is very easy to mark, the middle of the top and bottom near the wallplate mounting holes is recessed, so when you break the four tabs off of wallplate it sits completely flush to the wall.

the orange carlons are the worst! they are thick and the cut out template is ridiculous.
I love supporting product that supports me!

I haven't had a prob with orange Carlon. If you tighten enough, the front plate sinks into the drywall.

But that Erico plate looks like a great concept. I will check it out.

Haven't used the OnQ's in a couple of years, but they are really nice--very sturdy. Their green nail-up boxes are great too--they make it very easy to grab a glow rod if you have to come back after the fact to retrofit a wire to the existing box.

Pretty sure the Erico's can be found at A*I. I buy them at one of our electrical suppliers as I found them for slightly less and they have a better location for us.

I like the Erico's when I need them but usually the Arlington's do the job just fine.

Yeap, I just ordered few to try out. Looks like my ABQ branch may be the only one that had 0 stock. That's why I probably never saw them there.
