Haven't done any "pull out" racks for a Family Room cabinet and need some advice on build quality, etc. The cabinet will be approx. 30" high by 20" deep interior. It hasn't been built so I can spec it as needed, within reason. What mfgs. do you recommend and why. I'd love it to pull out and be able to spin to access the rear. On a another note. I need to vent it and see that Holovision has stopped making there small vac pipe cooling system. I need something that will pull the air directly to the rear of the cabinet to the outside. I don't have a room back to back to exhaust to, it's an exterior wall. I have only used "cabinet duct" type that mounts on the rear wall and dumps the air below into the toe kick. It was made by Cool Components. I didn't have a whole lot of luck with this unit (used it twice). What are you using to cool small family room type cabinets?

I have actually been pretty happy with snaps pull out cabinet system. Well built and glides nice especially when loaded up. Cabinet racks are good quality too!

I've used these MA ones and they work OK. They come in 12U-24U spaces. I've also worked on systems that had those, but didn't like them since it's not full depth and wire management becomes an issue. Recently, I installed this Snap one and it turned out OK. Things to be aware of: - Some only rotate one way - None I've used pull out much beyond 100%, meaning you have mount them close to front of the cabinet. - If cabinet is made to the width of the rack and you have doors that do not remove easily, you want be able to swivel the rack.

the racks from these guys are very nice. [Link: installerschoice.com]A little OT, but I can't stand websites that list their model number lines rather then a descriptive word or several words in their product list. If I do not know what a FFR is or a BTN is, it makes it more difficult to find what I am looking for. Not saying the product is bad, just harder to locate what I want. On topic, glad you posted this thread. I was going to post on the same subject as I have a take over job with a mess in a cabinet that I have to clean up. The fact that Brendon actually said something good about Snap makes me think I might try that one.

Lowell LPTR seems like a reasonable option - though never used it. [Link: lowellmfg.com]Looks pretty similar to the MA SRSR, though depths vary. Save time and speak with a MA and/or Lowell disty, for spec'ing.

I have used the Lowell one. Works fine. Excellent build quality. I like the MA slightly more.

The Middle Atlantic ASR series works very nicely. Just finished another one yesterday...

I have used the snap, but I had to shim it up a little with washers because it wanted to sag and drag on the wood work.

To the OP....
I'm not sure that 20" depth is enough for any pull out. I think 20" is usually pushing it with no room left for wire management.
