Does anybody know if there are discreet resolution commands for a HR-22 or simular?

I need to program a macro that will switch the receiver from 480 to 720 depending on what display is being watched.

Thanks!

I'm not seeing anything like that in the RTI driver, and I've never seen an IR command for a discrete format. Doesn't mean its not out there though

if you hold the exit button for 5 seconds, the receiver will (toggle from hd/sd)
that is the only way to do it.

Are you doing this because of the message that displays on the screen when you have the box set to HD resolution, but have a display connected to he composite output?  We have got around this by using a component to composite converter.

Exactly.  There are two TVs in the room.  One connected via HDMI and the other via composite.

It's been working fine for a year or so and then a few weeks ago the started getting the "hold the Exit button" message when in HD res. and the SD tv is turned on.

As far as I know the "hold the exit" method will only bring it back to a SD res.

I'll try a converter.  That's a good idea.
