Whats the best way to get a couple one day tickets? I see online $82 each. Any tricks for cheaper? BUT, dont say "attend a timeshare seminar" lol. Screw that.

I figure $82 was gate price but boy am I wrong! LOL

HES buying group convention next week and going a day early to check out Universal. Havent been in 20 years!

+1, and I used to live in Orlando. Goto Disney. Or, if the weather is nice, take a drive down to Legoland.

Also, try the Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney. The food's not bad, but the building and decode more than make up for it.

I was at a hotel at Universal Studios for a marine electronics convention a few months ago.  I wanted to hang out at the Harry Potter attraction but messed up by back the day before.  Life = incomplete :(

Interesting. So skip US and do Disney. I assumed Disney was more for kids. Years ago when I worked for Universal Pictures they took us to Universal Studios and thought it simple rocked! Granted it was the VIP tour, taking hallways and stairs to get to front of line but the technology then blew me away. Figured it would be even better now. Disney is now a consideration!

Last year went to Epcot. WOW, what a COMPLETE waste of time and money! Small, outdated and simple a HUGE bore!!!!! HATED it. Sounds like similar sentiments for US.

Ha! I was going to say go to Epcot, love that place! The Mexican restaurant there is awesome. Test Track is one of my favorite rides, soarin is also awesome!

Hollywood studios is fun, but its small. Tower of terror is amazing, Rock and roller coaster is fun and Pixar's toy story is such a sweet ride, one of the best IMO. Gotta go with a group to have fun on that one though.

Dont bother with animal kingdom, it sucks.

Magic Kingdom is awesome too, space mountain never gets old and i hear they built an new section with a new ride! 3 years ago they overhauled the Haunted Mansion so that's definitely a ride to ride!

Went to universal & islands of adventure a few years back. Really didnt like it. The only good ride they had was the mummy.

We go to Disney 2 to 3 times a year. Our family just enjoys it more. Hard to explain, but magical is the best word.

That said, on a pure excitement basis, I'd recommend Universal. Many more "rides".

Either would be fun and more than you could reasonably do in a day.

My boss took his kids to Harry potter at universal. He said the Harry potter ride and the Spider-Man ride was unbelievable. But that was all at he Harry potter section he was impressed with.

And the regular universal park and the Harry potter park are two separate admissions.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

One day a Disney & Epcot can be done, if you move right along...

Wife and I did Universal about 5 years back and one day was plenty.

Enjoyed both thoroughly.

It's really what YOU make of it.

I think the kids largely determine which park to go to. Last year, we ended up spending most of our time (and money) at the Harry Potter world in Universal. The Marvel Superheroes part was fun as well, but the rest was largely unattended.

At Disney, we whipped through since they had been to Disney in LA before. Epcot Center was definitely not as fun for them as I imagined. They used to love going to the science museums with me in every city we visited.
