Well after seeing the festool threads I decided to get my tools organized as well. I looked hard at the systainers but decided to go the bosch (sortimo) route instead. Mainly because all of my tools are bosch and I wanted to try something different.

The L-BOXXes are larger than the systainers, they are so thicker material so the do weigh more but seem to be much sturdier and will take much more of a beating. (I had both side by side for comparisons).

One think I liked about the systainers was that you could open any systainer while they were all stacked together. With the Bosch you have to unstack the one you want (unless it is on top) to open it. I also really liked the sortainers from festool. They to have stackable sorters that work with the system but again you have to get to the one you want and then open the lid. It is not a drawer based system.

So far I really like them. I have more on order as well as their Dolly (2-wheel upright that the L-BOXXes snap to and allow for easy moving). I also ordered their 4-wheel cart.

They don't have a cool vac like festool does but I am actually working on putting my shop vac into a tall L-BOXX and it will be attached to the 4-wheel cart.

Here are pics of the first 2 I have made.

Nice!! Looks great did you use the kaizan foam?

Just be very careful with more then 3 attached to each other as I have personally witnessed the bottom two come loose from the top and roll down the stairs. Cost him alot of money to repair the stairs and the builder was not happy with the finished carpenter.

With the systainers there is alot of weight on the t-loc so if im working in a finished house ill only attach 3-4 of my lighter ones together, the other heavier ones ill carry up separately.

These are fiercely debated debated which ones are better. Sortimo has the really nice van racking solution stateside so there is a plus for them. Both have their advantages/disadvantages. Systainers definitely have more options and accessories available at the moment but as bosch starts to move all of their tools to l-boxx's im sure it will change. The only thing that matters is what works best for you and what is the most efficient.

I look foward to seeing you grow your l-boxx collection! please share as you add them! FYI tanos (systainers) have the new MIDI systainer releasing at the end of the month which is almost exactly the size of the L-Boxx!

Aren't those actually made by fesstools? I thought I read that somewhere.

I'll post more as I get them done. I am using the Kaizen foam. Ordered it and the marker from fastcap.com

They also have some other really cool toys, I mean tools. Ordered some of their flush cut cutters and I love them. I'll be spending lots more money with them.

They also have some crazy off the wall products.
