I have a long list of reasons why I wish the Mayans were right, but here's the latest.
My wife works at a bank. Inside the bank (oddly) there are bathrooms available for customer use.
On more than one occasion (including today) a man will go into the bathroom and start dropping a deuce. But that's not the sick part. This is.....
They leave the door wide open!!! It actually opens directly to the lobby, no hallway, it's not a multi-person bathroom. This is a single use bathroom and dudes just go in and drop a deuce in front of God and everyone.
As my wife reports, you get full sensory perception while this is taking place. Visual, Audio, and you guessed it...... smell.
Who in the world would do something like this? I close and lock the door when I'm the only one home.
My brain can't even compute something like this. For those of you with children, for the sake of all of us, please don't raise them like they're a band a marauding hyenas.
And for clarification, this isn't just one person. This is multiple different people.

I think some people just give up pretending they are human. Email this to the bank. [Link: allaboutdoors.com]

I worked at Gateway in a busy part of San Diego about 12 years ago. We use to see all sorts of crazy stuff but the one that took the cake was a guy pulled into the parking lot about 30 feet in front of the store, stopped his car and opened his door in the middle row, bent down and hid himself behind his door and starting pooping on the street. Unfortunately he wasn't hiding himself from our store. He was in plain view of all employees and customers.
I try not to rationalize irrational behavior.

Metro Detroit Area. Nice area, typical middle class...
Nice enough to have a bathroom in it. LOL.
I always thought that a bank having a "changing area" for robbers was a bad idea.

You would think and you're probably right, I don't know. But here's another fun fact about banks. Did you know that the cameras that are pointing at the customer during a transaction do not show the teller in the field of view, only the customer. My wife has better stories than we do about customers, and they're not a once a week occurrence, it's an everyday thing. At least 2-3 times per day somebody comes in and commits or tries to commit some sort of bank fraud. Just the other day, the manager at the bank gave out 6k to a person. About 3 hrs later they got a call from corporate telling the branch that they got hustled. Or yesterday when a guy came in with his face cut out and pasted onto a fake I.d. It's comical

At the plant where i work, many employees grew up in other countries. Apparently flushing used toilet paper is not common practice. They had to start putting large trash cans in the stalls because the filthy bastards would throw shit soaked tp on the floor.

I can "One Up" Duct Tape...
At the height of the dot com boom, I was working in the Silicon Valley, and my company was hiring tons of immigrant workers on VISA's. As a result, many didn't have much idea of how things work in a bathroom. I was finding many of the workers were defecating on the floor, and then bringing dirt in from outside, and throwing it on the top! Other workers would put the seat up, and stand on the rim of the toilet and do their business. Of course it would splash everywhere, and they would often miss! I felt really bad for the poor janitor!!!
My company actually made the managers talk with their groups on how to use the bathroom! I wanted to do a training video... It would have been the most hilarious video ever.

Waiting for the Asteroid. I would also consider this a massive fail of the banks managment, in regards to not telling the idiots to close the door to the bathroom, not notifing the police of indecent exposure and most importantly by not fixing the door with Stamp's solution. If all of those options are too difficult then how about just locking the damn door and preventing its use to anyone that is not an employee. Singed - Waiting for some damn common sense to prevail.
