A client wants to play, repeating, a slide show on a system where the projector, 40 feet of wire away, is fed only by component video. (I asked about HDMI via RF and there have been few answers.)

I've got their .pps file set up as a slide show and also a .wmv that's four minutes l;ong. They want to play it over and over, and their DVD is a Yamaha that can repeat.

What's your favorite free software for burning a DVD?

Thanks......

edit: fixed dumm speling eror.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Works well! But It seems to use imgburn to burn the DVDs, and the two I did ran into repeated read errors. I haven't tried the finished discs, though. Maybe that's not a fatal flaw.

It seemed to work well. It didn't make a usable disc. I tried it three times. In all three cases, when you hit PLAY, you get a message saying "this function is disabled for this disc at this time." Sorta not what I wanted!

The first two times, DVDFlick automatically opened ImgBrun and "finished" the discs. After what seemed like burning a disc, the disc ejected and a message came on the screen saying the computer had done everything possible to close the drawer but it couldn't. I was to close the drawer and hit Enter. I did. All three times.

Then it started another long process that seems to have involved reading the disc, because the computer could not read the disc. Repeatedly. After I told it three times to ignore that, I was given the choice to ignore every non-read; it did; it finished.

The first two times I used the Imgburn that automatically came up with DVDFlick, and one was a DVD-R, one was a DVD-RW. The third one was a DVD-RW and I used a version of ImgBurn that I downloaded from the ImgBurn site.

Some DVD players are picky about what types of burned discs they can or can't read. You can look up your DVD player model here to see what combinations other people have tested and found to work:
