Looking for a remote solution for my home to office, and for my clients of course.

Looks like Team Viewer is a one time fee of $1499 for lifetime usage.

And Log Me In 123 is $1188 a year!

Seems like a no brainer.

What do you guys use to remote in to your clients homes.

TeamViewer for me. We used (still use) logmein for years and its fine but Teamviewer is so much easier/better imo.

I used it for the first time at the last project i worked on. Another company did the Avaya programming and their programmer setup logmein on the rack PC so he could connect remotely. Rather than try and figure out if i can use 2 logmein accounts on one PC simultaneously i decided to give TeamViewer a spin. Much easier to use..Clients PC is 2 clicks away in the system tray. I can copy/paste files from my PC to his PC (might be available in logmein but i was never able to do it).

Stamp im glad that you responded to my post. Ive always trusted your opinion. Sound like the simplicity and low one time cost of Team Viewer is the way to go.

URC uses it and they seem to enjoy as well.

I am still using the free version. We are going to pay for the license but we cant get a clear answer about one thing. Actually its several things but all related to the same thing and thats "how do we control access?".

I envision having all of our clients rack pcs added listed for me/my boss and other "admins". I would also like to grant access for specific accounts to a programmer for example. So lets say i am outsourcing crestron programming for client #5 in my list. I want to be able to give my programmer the ability to access ONLY client #5's system and i want to be able to turn on/off access easily.

As we begin to do bigger projects we are working with more companies. At the last project i was at we installed a phone system that was purchased/programmed/labeled by another company. It showed up, i unboxed and installed it and it was working. Done. We needed a few things changed like room names (because room names always change once construction is done) and a few features like what phones ring etc. Phone system programmer logged in and took care of those changes for me using his own logmein account.

In the future i want to control the "remote access" scenario. No more "the other guys logmein account". He gets limited access to my system. So if it cant be done/easily then it cant be done. I still prefer teamveiwer over logmein but it would be nice to have that kind of control. Some sort of group access or whatever. Waiting for support to respond with an answer to the question.

When you find these answers out, would you PM me please?

We use log me in free version. Works great. Have a ton of computers out in the field with it. has come in handy. Still setup VPN and remote access but good to have it as a backup or where we don't own the network.
