A few month ago I was on a job, it was rainy out and the customer had kind of a muddy driveway due to their flowerbed washing out. I make it a habit to take of my shoes in finished homes but since it was raining out and they didnt have a porch i would walk in and take my shoes off on the mat. By the time the job was done the mat was pretty messed up, the customer didnt seem to mind but i felt really bad that i messed up their door mat. So a few days later I went to Pottery Barn and got them a $75 gift card and sent them a note saying this is to replace their door mat (there house was very "potery barn esqe") They were floored that I did that for them

I know what a door mat is designed for but i still try to treat my customers homes with the utmost respect. Ive never liked putting large dropclothes down because they always seem to get caught in the door with frequent trips in and out.

So i decided todo something about it! I took my drop cloth that was ripped cut it down to a doormat size, layered it for some weight and handed it to my Mom to sew the edges, She also has an embroidery machine so i had my logo digitized to her machine for a "custom touch" and voila! :)

Cost me a ripped cloth, $11.50 to have my logo digitized and a lunch for my mom! Clients are floored when I lay this down! im going to have her make me two more so I can have them in "rotation" so they are always clean. The logo isnt quite straight, but this was a prototype to see if it would even hold up, a month of solid beatings and its held up amazing, even the embroidery!

You might want to rethink how you organize your posts. Several times I have looked at the image, and every time I do, I see

“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”
Benjamin Franklin

Maybe write something after the illustration? I just ealized that every time I read one of your posts I get a subliminal message from the beginning of the quotation: "the bitterness of poor quality...."
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Nice and over the top. My feet can hardly take walking without shoes all day anymore so I'm a bootie person, pun intended, but a nice mat would be a good place to get your shoes dry so you can put them on.

Sweet... I like the logo!

I wear shoe covers whenever I'm inside a home too, but I also keep 4 or 5 of this style matt in my van.  They don't take up any room and you can place one at each door your going in and out.

They're also great to put down on the floor to set your tools/tool bag on, place in front of the rack your working on and I'll even carry one around and place on the floor under wall plates and keypad locations when I'm doing trim out.

It's a great safety net when you're working on brand new wood floors in case you drop a screwdriver or compression tool.

We do the same with mattress pads. The heavier weight ones are good shock absorbers for dropped tools and are usually large enough you can double them up for some nice padding not only for tools but your knees as well. If the floors are finished, everything goes on mattress pads. Customers see this and appreciate the attention and care given to their most likely new residence.
