Question for you commercial folks. I am working on expanding my business and we are bidding a couple of commercial jobs. The clients wanted FM only but have now decided they might want some form of streaming instead. Are you required to go with a license based service? I know DMX is one of, if not the most popular. The one job I am bidding that requested it is VERY budget conscience, so want to see if this is something that is even feasible for them at this time.

Edit: Spoke with the client and it looks like they are ok with the monthly fee. Can anyone comment on the quality of the DMX media streaming device?

DMX is now Mood!

Device is reliable but no RS232 or IP control (IR only)

Has the PRO licensing built into the fee, so that's a plus

Thanks. I was on their site and saw they are now Mood. No need for rs232 or IP with this job. They are roughing it ;-)

We just did a DMX system with On Controls. Took the Video out into an Aviosys IP Video Server. The top half of the iPad is the URL for the IP address of the Aviosys Server, which is the DMX screen. Then the bottom half of the screen is the directional pad. Works very good. I am still trying to get them to put in a Tamper Proof iDocx.

I took a screen shot of what I did, but I am not sure where it is. If I can find it, i will post it.
