Got a nice house where the electrician didn't wire a doorbell. What options are out there besides the standard plastic stick-on doorbell and plug-in sounder?

Damn. Yeah they have Control4. Card Access only has the doorbell interface for a standard doorbell (which doesn't exist), but I didn't even think about a Zigbee doorbell.

Next question... Doorbell button is pressed and the Control4 system does what? I guess I could program an announcement over the DA speakers, but I have kinda avoided messing with announcements for a while. Guess it's time to knock the rust off.

Yea... Axxess has that small zigbee doorbell. You could use it in conjunction with an announcement, or I did one recently where the client did not have audio, so we made it close one of the relays on an HC800 which inturn just chimed a traditional chime that the electricians had installed just outside the AV closet. This was done as an alternative to the original old Nutone intercomm which had died.

Could you have it close a relay on a niles doorbell interface and feed it into the C4 system.

Does the Axxess wireless doorbell have contacts on the receiving end? I've needed this solution for a handful of jobs!
