I lucked out about six years ago. Was working on an issue with a very large install. After about three techs could not figure it out a supervisor came there. He was able to schedule a tech that could handle the job.
I got the supervisor's email and cell number. Now when ever I need something I call him he he gets me what I need. One day a client had a bad cable box, I called him and within an hour he was on site with a new box. He make my life easy, and makes me look good when a client is upset with Comcast and I can say let me call my guy there and I get things taken care of. Can't say enough good about him!!

If you are talking about sacrifice like going without high speed internet...this is the wrong thread for that. Not interested in getting back to nature and killing my dinner with my bare hands and making fire with two rocks.

I would gladly pay twice what i pay now if comcast got their act together and acted like a real company. I bitched about their horrible service. I didn't make the choice. Government officials decades ago allowed companies like comcast to have monopolies. These companies never had to service customers properly because what can the customer do about it? (besides b@#$h about it at remotecentral). If i had it my way the fiber/copper would be completely government controlled and any company can use whatever portion of it they want. That way a startup with great customer service could come in and put the other clowns out of business.

Have to love the post by Archibald "Harry" Tuttle and 39 Cent Stamp. Poor pitiful us. No one is holding a gun to our heads to subscribe to these services. We choose to accept bad customer service in lieu of not having the service at all. If and when we decide to stop putting up with this BS and are willing to drop them nothing will change. I'm strictly OTA TV on the old '86 Hitachi tube TV(19"). I think last time I scanned the channels on the Zenith converter box there were about 87 local broadcast channels. Will look at FTA satellite whenever I upgrade my display. As far as internets, it's comcraptical. But i work 'em pretty good.

There you go ignoring the fact that the cable and phone company already has their hands in the tax jar. They barely pay what they owe themselves and they use our money to subsidize their wiring then sell service to us and provide us with horrible customer service. Yes please lets look at our roads and see how they have made this the greatest nation on the planet. If you treated your customers the way comcast treated theirs you would be out of business.

I know at least here in Houston, comcrap pays the City a franchise fee, effectively giving comcrap a monopoly within the city limits. Unlike deregulated power and phone, comcrap don't have to share their infrastructure. Now that's the Free Market. USA style. Only other options are Uverse and satellite.

Why are you trying to turn a simple rant about horrible service from the cable company into some type of political issue so you can rant about personal responsibility? Get real.

Why does the personal responsibility aspect scare you it is what it is? You don't like the quality of service get rid of it but don't blame everyone but yourself. As far as injecting politics that wasn't me that was done by me.

He made a legitimate point. Comcast customer service sucks. The only reason I have them for Internet is because they are the only game in town speed-wise. Mac has every right to post about this in a thread here on RC. He has helped me and others in the past here in RC. I think he has a right to complain about Comcast without getting flamed...

How the hell (yes i would like you to please explain in big boy english centences not just radio show talking points that dont mean anything) how personal responsibility has jack sh#t to do with comcast? It scares me that you have convinced yourself that you should feel guilty when someone else tries to screw you. It scares me that you think your only option is to not have cable internet when the cable company can't service/support their product properly.
