I will have no problem dropping their ass like a 10ton brick if they cant work this out, and I know alot of my customers will feel/do the same. I have a feeling the networks are becoming very nervous about AMC and their programing and are starting to pull their "corporate strings"

if it comes to it, i will pay for AMC. they are the only ones with anygood programing. The networks stuff now is pure garbage.

I would think that it's the other way around -- AMC is leveraging it's newly found relevance in to higher per-subscriber demands as each contract has come up for renegotiation. They had a fairly long standoff with Dish recently.

There always seem to be issues with threats, actual pulled networks, or not being able to negotiate with new networks. It doesn't matter the service provider, really. Time Warner and NFL Network took forever to work out deal. DirecTV and Time Warner Sports (here in LA they have most of the Lakers games) recently had issues coming to terms as well.

Of course if you are really are only worried about AMC, by all means base your service decision around it. I can almost guarantee you that they will come to terms with Verizon sooner rather than later, though. Might not be worth the hassle of switching.

For what it's worth, just based on anecdotal evidence it seems that DirecTV has the least drama with this that I have seen.

I agree with that. I had not even heard of this as an issue until about a year ago; I'm also in LA, and most of my clients have DirecTV.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

directv is by far the best tv service provider. hands down. more expensive, but better. they will always have more leverage with the networks because they have way more subscribers than any regional provider.
I love supporting product that supports me!

We actually dropped DTV because verizon was offering an incredible deal and i could use Tivo (since I am a dealer) We get DTV offers literally weekly wanting us back, if Verizon drops AMC DTV will get us back, and they will probably keep us. The only real thing keeping me from going back to DTV is finding time to be here for the hackstaller :)

Dish is still on the roof and aligned, i wish DTV would just send me boxes so i can hook them up. I have come to hate verizon and beginning to really dislike tivo too. I dont watch sports so really dont care about any sports offering any of the providers have :)
