As we methodically work towards the end of the year, I've started to think about the future. What's your plan for 2013? Specifically, what are you working on or towards for your business over the next year or so.

For me, in 2012, I wanted to add more premium and protected lines, so I added Martin Logan, Marantz, Pro Control and Snap lines. I also wanted to get my power limited and business license which I am just about done with.

Those are the types of ideas I'm looking for people to throw out, strategy to help the bottom line. Critique me or add your own.

Good luck!
Tom

Labor. List everything you currently do for clients and then put a check mark next to what you bill for. The unchecked items are your new revenue stream.

The world domination sounds like a lot of work, I may have to sub that out. Vacation sounds good though. Stamp, I like the way you think.

Add several new versions of explanation to arsenal: why rear speakers aren't working. No, seriously. This has been a bad week for that, even though I implemented 5 channel stereo buttons there is one AVR that won't downmix 2 channel Dolby digital into 5 channel stereo. Try explaining that to a hard headed customer.

What it means is..... I did 2M in revenue bare minimum. And that's the goal.

More time with the family, more time on the golf course. Less time wearing hats that don't fit me.

End of the world in about a month.
If we survive, I'll work on the list.
