If any of you guys are watching this mini-series on the History Channel, isn't it one of the best made mini series you've ever watched.
For those of you who aren't watching it, you've gotta watch it. Simply awesome.
It's essentially a documentary type of mini series that covers the life and wealth of Rockefeller, Carnegie, JP Morgan.
Break out the ONDEMAND boys. It's a great watch. Might teach you something as well.

It's a must watch. Damn I wish I was Morgan. He cut Carnegie a check for today's equivalent $480,000,000,000 (yes, that's 480 Billion) like he was giving him money for lunch. LOL. To make that even clearer, he gave him nearly a half a trillion dollars. That's loaded.

I could not believe how well done it was. Definitely recommended to watch.
If they taught history this way in school, everyone would know a lot more about it!

Totally agree, seeing someof these news interviews with the public makes you wonder if most of these people even went to school or if the teacher even attempted to teach Ive always been a History guy so I knew alot of what they were showing. But it was cool to see how they "framed" and "portrayed" it.

The men who built America. My great grandpa was a Czechoslovakian immigrant Farmer that did quite well for himself. He wasn't rich but had good values and passed them on down the line! "Hard work and respect for others will earn you more than you will ever need" is the most memorable quote from him that my grandpa drove into me from an early age and it stuck! I do enjoy watching the show...I just look at it from a "workermans" perspective.

Stamp The do sensationalize the ultra rich but I think they cover the workers rights very well. They make these guys out to be total d bags when needed.

Watched the whole series except for the last episode (Henry Ford) the other day. All and all I thought it was politically neutral and very informative. I already knew some of the story, but the interaction and fighting amongst these guys was interesting to hear about. Also a great primer on the rivalry between Edison and Tesla and their backers.
Great watch...
