I have an LG TV module that I am trying to edit the serial strings on the SIO but I am getting a popup "INVALID ENTRY This is a Reference parameter and the matching parameter in this macro's Argument Definition does not support the type required by this parameter. (For more info, refer to the status bar or right click on this parameter and View the defined properties)

How can I edit the serial strings within the module?

On the SIO does the string look kind of like:

\[#NAMEOFSTRING1\]

Can you provide a screen shot or two?

This is what the string looks like

"ka \[#ID\] 01\x0D"

In some cases I need to change the "ka" or the "##" to something different.

I will try to post a couple screen shots.

The [#ID\] is a reference to the parameter in the module.

In the Argument Deff you should see a sting or something for an ID.

If you want to make the changes the way you are you will have to remove this parameter from the Argument & edit ALL the strings to make sure the proper ID is set.

Really, your first day on the forum and your second post and you are going to bash Crestron. What is your experience with Crestron to allow you say something like this anyways?

And no my problem is not that I am working with Crestron

I heard Apple is considering Chapter 11.

I heard it from the voice in my head, admittedly.
