Now you East Coast guys feel the pain we have to endure with most of our vendors. I despise 5-day shipping.

I have to ask:
Many CI's say they've ceased selling TV's due to low margins. So why would the same CI's bother with Sonos and the "next to nothing" margin? Says the fella that is always getting burnt by selling $400 Denon AVRs and keeps filling these forums with complaints about that business model. Just sayin'

It begins... Sonos is tired of you lowly CIs suckling from their empires teet. They are done with you.
Next stage is that your direct accounts will be closed and they will sick their lawyers on extra vegetables.

well its not next to nothing margin, its a hell of alot more then TV's :). i sell it because i make a huge amount of money with it, it allows me to offer custom solutions with sonos that they cannot get from worst buy or target. It opens the door to alot of custom work and customers simply love it, the word of mouth that spreads with a happy sonos customer is crazy!
i dont really sell the play 3's or 5's. I only sell them for a bathroom, small room or garage. everything else is pretty much custom work with Inceiling/inwall speakers.
on every quote i do i just throw in a CONNECT, that opens the door for alot of things as well! its a great product and you can make money with it, not so much with the actuall products but with the CI products that go along with sonos +1 The Rep brought by the new sub for a listen today. Have to admit I was very impressed!

I thought the only way to get sonos was dealer direct. I know my local rep does not WH the product. Distributor here in Denver carries it.

I have a customer who we orginally installed Sonos into their home less than a year ago. Well they moved to a 8k sq ft home and I told them there is no way they should bring Sonos over. We are doing Savant which is a much better fit for this house! We install more Sonos than Savant because of our type of work and client base but I use what fits the homeowners requirements. I shouldn't feel like I need to defend Sonos but it's a great product with great support and decent margins.
Just build the extra $10 in shipping in .10 more labor hours. I hope your customer won't notice that large amount ;)

I don't understand why people say next to nothing margins when they aren't much less than Denon or Onkyo's and they fail a lot less! LOL very true. You make decent margin on it. How much margin did you make on that iPad? Hmm? :)

You guys who also use your email instead of the customer's when registering, Sonos just sent out an email blast announcing Amazon Cloud and included a $10 Amazon MP3 credit. Don't delete this email.

Score!...I wonder if I could give the coupon code to someone? Say for example on RC. I don't and am never going to use Amazon. I've got 2 of the codes.
