I've used lift-tech for ceiling lifts before with great results but these homeowners are very budget conscious. I think the Chief model would work but I don't like the way they are laid out. It's impossible to build a box around the TV concealing the ceiling opening and the wiring behind the TV. You would have to see the arm extending down as well as the big opening in the ceiling.

I prefer to use something like Auton or Lift-Tech were we can build a custom face frame/wrap around the TV which hides the gaping hole in the ceiling along with the wiring. Any recommendations around the cost of Chief or less?

TV won't be bigger than a 46".

TIA

If they don't want to spend money on something that's inherently expensive they have to deal with the drawbacks.

The Cheif ceiiling lift does a good job but it does not travel very far and also noisy while in travel. You could also try Nexus 21 but I don't have actual experience with their lifts.

Called and got pricing on the Nexus L53i and it's very reasonable. Unfortunately they don't have much for dealers.

They don't appear to have the ability to have a custom frame closing off the ceiling opening and the lift parts when it's down but that is just the trade off they are going to live with if they want the cheaper lift.

Thanks
