I think this is a cash grab.  If Shulze owns 20% of the stock and it bumps 10% in morning trading, he made plenty of money for simply putting out a press release.

That's my thoughts.

CEO's are in the business of making money.

Nothing else matters.

I think that Schulze is getting old and wants to retire. If he takes the company private then sells to a private equity firm like Bain Capital then he'll make more more then if he sells his 20% stake now.

Just so people know putting out a press release that raises the stock price right now doesn't make the guy any money unless he sells his stocks right now. Sure it gets people talking but it could also scare people into selling the stock and him losing even more money.

Best Buy has a good amount of money in the bank and that's part of the reason I still say they'll be around for a while longer.
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

I don't see it now on the interwebs, but I thought that a large part of BBs loss (maybe half) last year was due to one-time charges - Car Phone Warehouse issues, closing up in the UK and other places. Of course a loss is a loss, but the one-time stuff always skus earnings.

Dick wants his baby back, baby back, baby back. I don't blame him. You should see the money they're dumping into the stores up here, crazy dollars!

Drew, have you been to the remodeled Richfield store?

Not yet. You like it?? I've been to two other locations but they aren't finished yet. I'm not sure I like the direction they are going but it might work for the general public. Have you and what did you think?

Thanks again for the iPort dock!

I actually need to get back in there when I have time again to take a closer look. I ran into another CI guy the same day I was there so I was rushing to get out.

I know they walk around with iPad control for the environment rooms. They have a design room, I'm not sure if they demo in that room at all, or just work and present stuff for customers. They also have a room with some really high end gear, Macintosh etc. Overall, its a great presentation, out of the park for a BB, IMHO.

Your welcome on the dock, glad it worked out! (I enjoy my new phone :)
