Trying to do a round up on what sports are available to a TV in a home with only IP (i.e. no OTA, no cable, no satellite.) Emphasis is on MLB, NBA and NFL games.

Looks like you can get part way there with a Roku and some expensive subscriptions.

Any tips on the best players / services for this purpose? Thanks.
If it's not simple, it's not sufficiently advanced.

AppleTV has those services also; I think the interface "feels faster" and looks better than the Roku interface. But Roku can be controlled via IP.

The WatchESPN iPad app description says that if you have Verizon FiOS internet you can access ESPN3 content freely. I have an ISP login that I use when I want to watch ESPN3 at home on my laptop, but never used the iPad app so I don't know if it will AirPlay.
