Any reason one over the other? I'm assuming it is possible to integrate the MMS2 into the G! system.
Price not really an extreme concern.

Autonomic is designed for integrators, and the company is dedicated to supporting integrators. Squeezebox are much more DIY, plus you have the hassle of supporting the computer that is running their server program.
Support companies that support you!

So if you are integrating a Squeezebox touch into a G! system, you still have to have the squeezeserver running?
Obviously I'd prefer to not use logitech, but those are basically my only two options for streaming audio on a G! system.

As long as price is not a concern i would try MMS - it is an integrator's solution . However Squeezebox can be a single box installation as well . Vortexbox has Squeezebox player and Squeezeserver under one hood , works very well and it is a lot less expensive . I don't know anything about Elan G , but RTI has better ( more flexible ) drivers for Squeezebox than MMS . You will have to get your hands dirty with vortexbox , while MMS is almost plug and play .

Autonomic is not supported by g!. So you have two options: 1. Use the built-in music server. Plays music from built-in hard drive or streams from NAS drives. 2. Use a Squeezebox or up to 16 squeezeboxes. The g! system runs its own squeezecenter so it is all self contained. You can play music from the g! system hard drive, stream from a NAS, or access Pandora and Rhapsody.
