I have a client with a Gen 1 apple TV. It worked fine once installed a week ago. Music and movies played fine, remote app worked.
Went back for a speaker install and the audio fro the Apple TV did not work at all. Nothing from the itunes store, nothing stored locally.
All video based content Store, Itunes store, and podcasts worked flawlessly.
The only thing that has changed is he synced a laptop and continued to copy more discs.
Any thoughts?
I did try different surround settings.
Marantz SR5005, HDMI for connection.

Have you tried hooking up the analog audio outputs or the optical?

My thing is it worked fine. Do you think it could be air tunes or something simple. I can totally hookup a cable.

I've always used the analog output on the Gen 1's for music and never had any issues that's all.

Unplug it and let it sit a while. Then see if it works.

Are you saying that it isn't playing files that you can see or that the data is missing?

Problem totally airplay/tunes setting for speakers. He linked a different laptop to the sync'd account instead of the streaming one.
