What I have is a Samsung Blu-Ray player going through a Snap 4x4 matrix switch to 2 Samsung TV's and a Marantz SR6006 for the theater. Everything works great but My problem is with the audio. I have to set Blu-Ray player to 2 channel PCM in order for the audio to work for the TV's. So now my theater is only playing 2 channel PCM. Will a dual HDMI output Blu-Ray player solve my problem? Can I set HDMI 1 to 7.1 and send that to the Marantz and set HDMI 2 to 2 channel PCM and send that out to the matrix switcher for the TV's? If I can do this, what Blu-ray players would you guys suggest? And if it doesn't work like this, any other suggestions? All the reading that I have done about these Blu-ray players is guys are running one of them to a 3D TV and the other one to an older AVR that doesn't support 3D.
Thanks for any help!

You could run optical to the receiver from the bd. what other sources are in the mix?

I love Oppo but they will not let you customize the output of each HDMI independently.

It's an interesting solution that I have not thought of before.
Can anyone confirm that blu-ray players with dual HDMI outs can out put different formats from each simultaneously?
For example, 1080P + Bitstream HD audio from one, 720p + stereo from the other?

**Shameless plug alert**
The HDMI matrix routers we're releasing around CEDIA also have analog and digital audio I/O's that have the ability to play multiple audio formats from a single source in all the zones simultaneously, which would eliminate the problem the OP is experiencing.

What about using 7.1 analog inputs ? Wouldn't that give the sound of the better formats except the bd live stuff ?

Using the digital audio output (coax, optical) of the Bluray won't help. When you set the digital audio to 2ch PCM, it's going to do it across all digital outputs (HDMI, coax, optical, etc...).
As already been stated, the Oppo doesn't let you set the HDMI outputs individually. And I don't know that I've ever seen any bluray player with dual outputs that does. Might be one but I'm thinking there isn't.
The only solution for your setup was answered by Bruce, buy another bluray for the purpose of the matrix. I'm sure space isn't an issue, those entry level bluray players are only 1/2 a rack space tall. And cost shouldn't be an issue, with most brands having an entry level unit for around $100.

What do you want to accomplish? If you want to have Bluray as a source to both TV’s and the theater you could just buy another Bluray player as mentioned above as long as you have a spare input on the matrix. If you want to have THE SAME disk playing on all displays at the same time then you need a device to down convert the audio for the TV’s. This is the same situation as when you want to display the same source on displays that have a different video resolution, you would use a video scalar. Crestron, Atlona, and probably others make audio converters. It doesn’t look like Snap has one, which is a huge oversight on their part because many displays won’t accept all available audio formats.
