HELP! Pro Control Onlyo Power On weirdness!

Have a Onkyo NR-515 with pro-control IR processor and 433 remote. Power OFF works great. Power on is completely intermittent.
I know for sure emitter is place correctly.
Have tried many different code sets.
Have changed repeats.
Have changed Output setting on processor.
Have changed emitters.
Still nothing. Please Help if your able to FIX!!!

Think I just fixed it. Put an emitter hood on front. seems to be sold now?? I guess too much ambient light...

My first Onkyo sale.. Budget system. Most likely will not be going down this road. Stick with Denon. Its just theyve been pissing me off lately....

yup, but they are still light years ahead of onkyo. Ive since switched to marantz NR1603 for my entry level AVR, good features and i love how slim it is. So far so good

except marantz and denon seem to have supply issues :)

You need to do a firmware update on the procontrol. If you.ever have these types of.issues.with.procontrol its firmware update.

Also found out that the ir data base for onkyo zone 2 is backwards for the power commands. Z2 Pwr on is actually off and vise versa. Awesome.

In my experience the problems with their IR receivers isn't even consistent, some being overly sensitive while others are numb for lack of a better word. Fire that hardware engineer >_<
