I downloaded the software and managed to get a few pages going, but I was wondering if every button displays the white background in the editor instead of showing the actual image transparency.

It is a bit awkward to look at the UI that way, but it appears perfectly normal when I upload the project to my iPad. This looks to be a nice alternative to some of the more expensive apps out there.

There are a few quirks, such as only being able to select multiple buttons by drawing a rectangle around them from the top left to the bottom right, but I am plugging along nicely for only having the software for a couple of hours.

From what I can tell, there is no way to simply have a graphic for the pressed state of a button appear every time you press it, but I believe you can use flags to make a button to show the active state.

The mirror option is pretty cool, but you have to make sure you use it after a page is complete. It reminds me of the RTiPanel where you can make a change to a button and it will carry over to the other orientation automatically on a given page.

I was wondering if I was just missing something with the white background showing on every button, but I will assume it is just the way the UI Editor works. It does make it easy to line things up.

I was also wondering what happens if you upload the same project to an iPad with the standard 1024 x 768 screen and one with a Retina display. I don't have an iPad 3 to test it out.

Thanks in advance for any useful info or tips for this program.

Ranger,

I figured anyone who uses the software on a regular basis would know exactly what I was talking about. Something tells me DemoPad is more of a DIY solution, however.... I haven't found anyone who knows the software as of yet.

Here is a link to the main site: http://www.demopad.com/

The software is freely available and the app costs $40 to register. It seems like a pretty decent solution for integrating iOS devices, I am just not sure if the time I would need to spend converting templates to work with DemoPad is worth it.

It looks as though you can use multiple IP based processors (including Crestron) to work with it.
