From Optoma web site I found a document that gives the Discrete IR codes for the Optoma HD3300 projector which I recently installed at a client. I am using RTI XP6 to send IR commands to the projector.

The Optoma document says....

HD33 and HD3300 Discrete IR Codes
Optoma Code : 32CD
Key Description Key code
1 Power ON key 02
2 Brightness key 41
3 Power OFF key 2E
4 Contrast key 42
5 Gamma key 43
6 Lamp Mode key 45
7 Menu key 0E
etc....

So, using this information, what would I enter as the hex codes for 'power on' and 'power off' to program the RTI system?

As always....

Use the existing code set for Optoma, I have used them in the past and they work well. If Optoma changed their codes give RTI Tech a call or shoot them an e-mail and they will help you. You may be on hold for a while but they tend to be very helpful and knowledgeable. Make sure you have the Optoma tech docs downloaded and be able to e-mail a link quickly, so RTI Tech won't waste time looking for it.

Thanks wildulmer,
I have tried ALL the exisiting code sets for every Optoma device in the RTI Master list as well as Mega lists from here. While the "On" IR codes work, none of the "OFF" codes work. I have talked with RTI and they said they could forward the info up the ladder to the engineers but it may take time. I am trying to finish up this job and this is the only thing standing in my way. I suppose I could always purchase the RTI Learning remote but I was hoping to avoid the $$$ outlay for this one stinkin' code.

I have never found Optoma Discrete codes for ON or Off in CCP with URC. If you end up with a hex code for ON and Off, Please share that info. We have to use variables to track power on Optoma projectors.

Edit- also, I believe you will need a "enter" command after the off command to complete the off macro on Optoma as it will ask you if you really want to shut down. But it may be to double the off command. I can't remember.

After no help from either Optoma or RTI, I captured the codes with my Crestron IR learner then figured out how to convert to hex for RTI using the Vert software program.

NEZBO - I think most of the older Optoma did not have discrete On/Off. This Optoma remote actually had separate On/Off buttons that I could learn from.

Please do us a favor and post the hex here. Sometimes it happens that older units whose remotes do not have discrete buttons will actually respond to discrete codes when they see them. Plus, it would be nice to add to the modern repertoire of codes.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I find this statement funny. Is it just me?
