Time to get me a new projector and can't decide between the 2.
Never had a Sony, currently have an Epson 6010, had a JVC RS-15 before that.
Always loved the blacks on the JVC but intrigued by the Sony's better lag times for gaming and more accurate colors, so thinking of giving it a try. Don't care much about 3D but Sony has the edge there too.

What's your pick?

I'm putting in my first 4800 next week, wish I could say more than that.

What's wrong with the 6010? I put one in a few weeks ago, I was over there today going over the system with the customer, it's really a nice little projector, especially for the price.

Nothing wrong with the 6010 really, brought it in to play with and sold it to a customer to replace an old Sharp XVZ-9000.

I sell Epson most followed by JVC.

The picture on the 6010 is very good. Only things that aren't great on the 6010 is the convergence, lack of motorized controls, the lense cover is noisy when opening/closing, iris could work better, gaming lag. I prefer the look of the lcos projectors so was wanting to go back. Only thing holding me up really on the JVC is the gaming lag (I like to play COD on it every once in a while) and I've read some issues with lamps not lasting and loosing lumens quick. The Sony appears to be a better all around projector (better 3D, better lag times, has a CMS, better accuracy out of the box) but not quite as good a pic.

I haven't viewed the Sony in person but I hear good reviews from dealers who have purchased. FYI, I know a certain disty who has the Sony on sale this month.

The Sony does have higher contrast and 3 year warranty over the JVC.

The jvc had some know bulb issues for a span of time that I believe have been resolved.

Between the Sony and jvc, my opinion is its like choosing between ford and Chevy. Nothing wrong with either, you almost need to flip a coin and decide.

If I needs to pick one to sell, it would probably come down to which one had better margins.

PM the sale price. I had set up an ADI account but still can't get a login.

Any guesstimate when the follow-on of the VPL-HW30AES is coming out?
