I have a feeling that the ATV3 will be out within the next couple weeks. I'm having a hard time finding them anywhere but at the Apple store. Best Buy normally has at least ten of them and right now I can't find a Best Buy within 90 miles that has one. Maybe the iPad3 and ATV3 will launch together.

Apple was out of them at my local store. Rep said he thinks it's due to flooding in Tawain but I thought that was affecting mostly hard drives and we all know ATV 2 does not have one of those.
My local bb had them.
You could be on to something

Dang. They are sold out online at Best Buy. I never installed AT2 because I was still using ATV1 for the built in HD.
Just sold a system with one Friday and need to get on......argh.

Will do. I will most likely need one soon. Looks like there are a ton of rumors about the new one. 1080P streaming, bluetooth for siri (rumor) or remote, new processor. No news about a hard drive which I doubt they go back to.

Just sold a system with one Friday and need to get on......argh. Don't forget if you're using the ATV2 it doesn't have analog outputs at all. You can probably get them online from Apple still. Just two weeks ago I bought 4 from Best Buy and they had a couple more left. A client really wants one Thurs so I'll probably have to give up my personal one.

Yeah. I have a MAC Mini installed and will just be using this to aide in ease of use of their new digital content. Client had a large collection of discs and will be going Apple Lossless for the new setup so I just need this to allow simple interaction.
All sources will be feeding a Marantz Pre/pro.

if your doing a decent amount of apple products you may want to look into signing up for Ingram Micro. They distribute apple products, not much more margin then sonos but its something.

We've done a few ATV2's, not having analog outs was a mistake, but using an optical to analog adapter works well.
